Clone an issue

Clone an issue

Issues often don’t come alone. When you need to add multiple issues, they frequently have a lot of properties in common, or need to be assigned to the same person. Instead of having to indicate every issue property again when you create a similar issue, you can clone an issue directly in BIMcollab Nexus. Simply add a new title and description, and the rest of the attributes are filled in automatically.
  1. Go to the Issues page your project in BIMcollab Nexus
  2. Find the issue you want to clone
  3. Go to the hamburger menu, either directly on the Issues page, or on the Issue details page
  4. Choose 'Clone issue'

  5. Fill in the title and description, and add a snapshot
  6. If necessary, adjust any fields which should not be identical to the original issue
The status of the original issue will not be taken over. A new issue will always have the status 'Active'.

It is currently only possible to clone an issue in BIMcollab Nexus, not in ZOOM or the BCF Manager. You can always add a viewpoint from one of these applications by adding a comment to the new issue.
